Oh, I forgot about these ones, since I havent blogged in such a long time I thought I had put these up. This is devon's swing that is much too large but what isn't :)

Here i goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! :) Now. Wasn't that fun :) I just laugh and laugh and laugh for no reason.

Devon is growing so quickly and fast, he's certainly turning into such a character, and such a little chubby turd haha :) Here's yet another hat, yeah, I know, I knit and crochet way to much! But, it is finally working to my advantage: I am trading photography services for different hats, baby cocoons and other random handmade items. It's great, works for me, and works for her! :)

This is grandpa's chair, but now dubbed Devon's chair. We take sporatic photos of him in this because than you can see the size of him and how he grows! Devon likes to watch football in it, sleep in it, eat in it, take long walks on the beach, haha just kidding :)

Devon is TRULY andrew's son. He loves to watch television already, and he is only 6 months old (3 months adjusted). Truly a gibbons boy already!

our latest to spokane!

Ready to go strapped into the motor home, we set off to spokane to celebrate mel and norm's birthdays! Devon was ready, just waited forever for us to get all our stuff. What was our problem haha :)

This is what happens daddy dresses devon...he ends up with hot green, plaid, and stipes, all in one! Oh well, at least he's dressed :)

September...

I seem to only write on this about every month and than there are a whole bunch of pictures to upload.....I'll get better I promise! :)

I was mostly busy with my cna class, which I finished on the 25th of this month! Yeah!!! :) I dont have any pictures, but the instructor is not someone I would want a picture of anyway! boo she was not a nice person :*(

But we did go to Kevin and sara's wedding on the columbia river, and that was a blast. Devon of course was ahit, and I even sneaked in some hairspray to give Devon a little mohawk when andrew wasn't looking! hhahaha

Life is so funny!

I also forgot to post this latest photo! Devon is learning to smile so we get random smiles....really random! I finally caught one on camera!

Stuff and things....Things and Stuff

For anyone who does not know, we named our son after Andrew's younger brother who passed away 3 years ago. He died after being blown up by an ied while serving in Iraq. It is a great honor to have our son named after such an important hero in our lives! We love you big devon, and we will always remember you! We hope you feel honored as well!

I also thought it would be funny to get a few photos of Andrew's beloved truck and his son in it! I of course did this when Andrew was gone because he would have freaked out......which he did when he saw the pictures after he got home haha :)

My mother also mentioned that I never send any pictures of devon and myself! I am always taking the pictures so I forget! So the other day I went about getting some taken, and anchored my camera in a tree. Seriously. Thank goodness for timers!

my son grew up in the NICU

I realized the other day how truly deep my child sleeps now thanks to the NICU. I had gotten up with andrew when he was going to go to work and made his lunch, than fed devon and we went back to bed. I only wanted to sleep for about 45 minutes more so I set the "NAP" alarm on our clock. On the NAP setting it doesnt give you the option of hearing the radio or the buzzer, it just does the buzzer. He fell immediately to sleep, and I tried and tried to go back to sleep but it just wasn't working. So I quietly got up and left him in bed and went outside to do some things. a little later I hear this buzzing noise coming from inside........I had forgotten to turn off the buzzer alarm when I left! I ran inside, only to find my little boy snoring so loudly straight through the noise. It was directly next to his little head and he wasn't even bothered by it hahaha :) AND it's a LOUD buzz that beeps!! Now, that is a TRUE sign he grew up in the NICU.

August Rush

Wow has August flown by! :) Here are a few updates and highlights of our month! :)

We went on a short day-trip to Portland to go and visit Sara and Juanita! We had a blast going to the Saturday market, voodoo donut and than just walking around downtown. It was super hot though so we only stayed outside for a couple of hours. Saturday Market!Mama likes to take random pictures :) Andrew is very good about it too haha

Andrew and I had our first real date since Devon has been born! We went to a nice dinner on the water and a movie for his birthday! He is 26 now, and says he's "so old!" hahaha Just wait my sweet, just wait! haha just kidding!

This is Devons first play-date! Shyla here is only 2 weeks older than Devon...such a difference huh! Mom and dad played in the pool and let the kiddos hang out

Our little kitty cat being a bear for the day:) He makes these noises that sound EXACTLY like a little kitty cat, so we call him our little kitty cat! It's hilarious, because he does it all the time! :)

Devon is such a sweet, sweet child! He is such a good baby so far! :) He is always ripping his nose prongs out, thus pulling out hair from ripping the bandaids off his head, but other than that brief moment, he hardly cries at all! We are super blessed! Everything is PERFECT" :)

This is my favorite photo of him so far too. It's a little old, he was still at uw, but I love it. He's perfect. We also found out he has my other dimple....I have only one on my left side, and you can now see that he has one on his right side :)

Suzie Home maker

Well I suppose you can't really tell, but I refinished this old army locker I got at a garage sale, and made it look like weathered wood from an old barn...so now it looks like it actually is made from actual wood pieces...you can kind of see the lines I put in it.....those and the apple baskets I got for 50 cents from the "new to you" store haha. I love that place....for some things.

This is an old cradle that we got for free and I sanded it down and refinished it in a dark red mahogany color....love it.

And of course the blanket that I made for devon. It has 15 tractor squares on it and finally, his information and a copy of his little footprints, yes they are really his, on the bottom corner.

Well with Devon coming home and everything, i decided to take on some projects for his future room! We took him home on the 8th of July, and as you can see, yes he is still on oxygen, but that's okay...hopefully it wont be for too long. He is a sweet sweet baby, and always talks to himself for a while, and only cries if he has been talking for a while and we dont give him attention haha. He was 5 lbs and 3 ounces at his first doctor's appointment on friday, and hopefully he has gained more now!
He is a good sleeper, and is a slower waker.....he lets out a good wail, and than goes back to sleep for a while, and does that at least 4 or 5 times. Just a simple ONE WAIL and than SLEEP. If you try and feed him after the first couple of times he cries or fusses, he wont wake up to eat, and than you've wasted milk.
1 more cute thing he does is screech like a cat. May not sound very cute, but when he cries, he starts off by screeching and just sounds l ike a little kitten crying..sad to say we laugh everytime
